Final tomorrow when the war began post

Hi again viewers unfortunately we have come to the end of the review so I would like to finish by giving you a list of books and films that you may like.

The first book I would recommend is the Hunger games by Susan Collins. The novel is about a teenage girl who is forced to participate in the Hunger games. This is an event in which one boy representative and one girl representative from every district to fight in a game to the death in which the winner gets a great reward. This also introduces a love interest to katniss everdeen the main character.

Now I would like to recommend a film called Red Dawn. Red Dawn follows an extremely similar story line to Tomorrow when the war began. It starts of when a small town is invaded and a small group of teenagers escape. These teenagers work together to rebel against the invaders and form a group called the wolverines. I would highly recommend this movie as it also stars some great actors such as Josh Peck and Chris Hemsworth.

Well that's it from me viewers thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed the review.

Review part six

Hi again viewers we are going to talk about some possible alternate endings to the novel. As we are also going to be touching on the topic of the actual ending of the book we advise you to please not read this until you have already read the ending. Okay so lets get started. In the book the characters blow up the bridge which connects a main port to Wirrawee, and a tragic event for the characters is the fact that Corrie gets shot. One possible ending is that the tanker which blows up the bridge does not explode and therefore the charcaters at the attempt be captured and have to be rescued by their fellow companions. This could result in the second intallment being about the attempted rescue of the characters. Their could also be an alternate ending in which the characters do not attempt to blow up the bridge and instead use it to go to the supplies port and try to damage the port. Well signing of on that note keep reading and look for more blog posts.

Review part five

Hello again readers, This is the fifth installment of our blog review of Tomorrow When the War Began. Today I am going to talk about the characters movie star counterparts as the movie adaptation of the book was recently aired on television. My personal opinion is that the film was true to the book although not in as much detail. The characters althpugh were really brought to life and in gave a new insight to how people imagine the characters and their relationships with one another. Homer was a great example of an adaptation from the novel. During the introduction of the film Homer is represented as a outgoing and carefree character who spends alot of his time speaking to officers and officials. During the film he takes the same path as he does in the book and becomes a great leader. So cudos to Deniz Akdeniz

Another character who had a tremendous adaptation of her character was Robyn. Robyn also had her character shown as it was in the book. Robyn is the innocent and extremely religous type. Due to the way she was displayed in the movie it also gave a more in depth image of Robyn.

Review part four

Well we're back with the fourth installment of the Tommorow When the War Began review. Today I'm going  to go into a little more depth about one of the charcters infact I am going to write a journal entry from their point of view. I have decided to write it from Homers point of view.

Journal entry:

I woke up again this morning feeling sleep deprived as usual. Since everything has changed we don't have time to worry about small things like that, they can be post-poned. Survival has become our main priority. I used to do dangerous things for fun, and yes maybe I enjoyed blowing up a few fire crackers here and there or scaring people by setting fire to the road or, well you get the point. The ironic thing now is that I would do just about anything to get away from this constant danger. The only thing that is keeping me going are my friends and the fact I can help. We're bound together now I wouldn't let anything seperate us. I just hope we can make it through. It will be tough but we can do it.

Review Part three

So we are back with the third installment of our review series. Today I'm going to discuss some if the novel's setting. Tomorrow When the War Began is starts in the fictional town of Wirrawee in the nonfictional country of Australia. Wirawee is described in the book as being a small rural country town. It is described to be almost a haven like area where everyone knows each other, everyone is hard working and more importantly everyone is 'innocent'.

All of our main characters and their families are based in this small and complacent town. Once they have convinced their parents to let them go they head of to the second location, 'Hell'. 'Hell' has been described in the book to be a giant crater-like area. The book describes it as being covered in different types of vegetation with hidden tracks and unexpected paths. 'Hell' is displayed as a very isolated area due to the fact that it's surrounded by cliffs and 'Satan's steps'. 'Satan's steps' are large, sheer drops that are the path the group takes to proceed into 'Hell'.

When the characters return from 'Hell', Wirawee has transformed into what appears to be a ghost town. Families are all missing animals are either sick or have passed away and most of the buildings apart from stores look strangely untouched. These are the main locations of events during the book as the are both visited again. Well end on that note for today. Thanks for reading and keep looking for more posts.

Review Part two

We have now arrived at the hint of the books true theme of conflict. Our characters experience an odd sight when formations of low lying jets fly over head. The group of teen adventurers have journeyed into 'Hell'. Don't worry it is not as horrible as it sounds. 'Hell' is an area which is a deep, dense area of bush. During the time the characters spend here we have the time that seemed absent in the first part of the novel to discover the many personalities hidden in the book. One of these personalities belongs to Fi. Fi is presented as a quiet and graceful character in the book. This though is one character I think is bound to change as the book continues. This assumption is based on the John Marsden's theme of conflict. Fi seems to be the opposite of this idea of conflict. If something transpires Fi would have to be the first to change. There are characters that I also think would not have to adjust as much. These characters conveniently juxtaposition with Fi such as Homer. Well we will end on that note. Keep reading the next uploads a to see if my prediction on character development becomes true.

Review week one

Review week one

I have begun reading the popular first instalment of John Marsden's popular series Tomorrow When the War Began. The book takes place in Australia a very short period of time before an attack on Australia by an anonymous force. We learn that the Narrator is explaining the events post-happening. The book initially gives the reader a hard time to get their head around the many main characters in the novel. Many names are thrown around in the orientation so it can be a brain teaser to work out who's who. Once you understand what's happening you should come to the conclusion that these names belong to a group of older students that are going on a camping trip.  For the next period of time you will eventually learn the personalities and personas that each character is gifted with. It leaves a small sense of total intrigue to be desired. Well signing of on that note please keep reading the later review  installments.
